ST. MARY PARISH – A Franklin Police Officer and his spouse have been arrested for his or her alleged connection to crimes towards a juvenile, authorities say.
In accordance with Sheriff Blaise Smith of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Workplace, Travis Williams has been arrested on fees of aggravated crimes towards nature and his spouse, Sherelle, was additionally arrested on accent and obstruction fees.
Williams, 32 years of age, serves as a part-time/reserve officer with the Franklin Police Division.
Sheriff Smith says the couple was arrested on Thursday (March 31) evening, round 9:10 p.m., after a prolonged investigation.
In accordance with Smith, it was over a month in the past when the Sheriff’s Workplace acquired a criticism from the Franklin space in reference to a potential crime towards a juvenile sufferer.
